What documentation do you need to register a death with M&S Credit Card?

Once you’ve notified M&S Credit Card, they’ll then be able to confirm what documents they’ll need and any forms that need to be filled out.

You may need to provide the original or a certified copy of the Death Certificate.

What Happens Next?

Any sole accounts will automatically be frozen, which means no money can be withdrawn. If the account was in joint names, once M&S Bank has received formal notification, they will arrange for the account to be transferred to the surviving partner. M&S Bank will contact you to confirm matters going forward.
