What documentation will I need to send a death notification to the DVLA?
If you are notifying the DVLA in writing yourself, then you’ll need to send them the driving license, if you have it.
The letter should also include your relationship to the deceased, the date they died and confirm their full name and address.
Note that the death certificate is not required.
