What you need

The deceased’s:
  • Date of Death
  • Full name and usual address
  • Death certificate or interim death certificate (scan or photograph)
From you:
  • A piece of photographic ID, such as a passport of driving licence, to upload and verify your identity. (scan or photograph)

What information is required to tell BMO Global Asset Management OEIC of a bereavement?

BMO Global Asset Management OEIC asks that you provide the following information:

The original death certificate
Deceased’s Full Name, Address, Date of Birth and BMO Account References
Your details, so that they can return the death certificate accordingly, and relationship to the deceased
Contact details of the personal representative/solicitor so we can contact them if required

What Happens Next?

Once you have notified BMO Global Asset Management OEIC of the death, they will issue a valuation of the deceased's account(s) as at the date of death. They will also return any original documents. They will contact you if they require further information.
