Sometimes life changes in an instant

But this situation has nothing good about it, and all you can feel is the devastating loss of your loved one. Everything has changed, and will never be the same again. Along with struggling to adapt to their loss, you have to deal with the paperwork. Life Ledger knows that the admin can make everything worse, so they offer you help with that. You came to find out how to notify the Barnet Pension Fund of a death, and we can help you:

How do I notify the Barnet Pension Fund of a death?

There are several ways to inform the Barnet Pension Fund:

  • Call them on 01274 434999
  • Email to them at pensions@wypf.org.uk
  • In writing to them at
    WYPF
    PO Box 67
    Bradford
    BD1 1UP

Alternatively, register the death within Life Ledger and allow us to help by making the notification. You don’t have to restrict yourself, either, to just notifying the Lincolnshire Pension Fund. Enter the details for other companies, and make as many notifications as you need through the site.

After completing a short process to verify your identity, upload a copy of the death certificate and the information each company requires. When you’re ready, press send, and the notification is complete.

What information do I need to inform the Barnet Pension Fund of a death?

Pension Companies often require the same information, so have the following to hand when you contact them:

  • Member’s pension scheme number and employee number
  • Their National Insurance number
  • Date of Death and personal details
  • The name and contact details of the person dealing with the death – don’t forget, if this isn’t you, that you will need to receive their permission to be able to pass on their details
  • If possible, any information you have regarding anyone who was financially dependent upon them at the time of their death, for example a spouse or civil partner, or children

What happens next?

All companies have their own processes, and they will need to implement these. But they will keep you updated at all times with what they are doing.

Being aware that this can be a very difficult time, Life Ledger created a guide that will help take you through the steps, showing you what you may still have to do. Obviously confirming the notifications to each company can be challenging. But by registering the death with Life Ledger you will save yourself the stress and headaches of trying to do the notifications. There is no charge to the service we offer, and there is no limit to the number of notifications you are able to make through the site. All you will get, is peace of mind that it is done and time to spend with others that you love.
